We offer several dog sledding tours, each designed to cater to different levels of experience and preferences:
  • Beginner Tours: Perfect for those new to dog sledding or seeking a more relaxed experience.
  • Adventure Tours: For more experienced sledders who want a thrilling ride through Iceland’s stunning landscapes.
  • Private Tours: Customized tours for a more intimate experience, perfect for families, couples, or small groups.

Our tours range from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the package you choose. This includes a meet-and-greet with the huskies, a safety briefing, and the sledding experience itself.

No prior experience is required for most of our tours. Our expert guides will provide you with all the instructions you need before you begin. However, we do recommend that you have a good level of fitness and enjoy outdoor activities, as dog sledding can be physically demanding.

Each sled can carry up to 5 people. We can accommodate groups, but our tours are typically more intimate to maintain a personal experience. If you have a large group, we can arrange separate sleds and guide options on request.

Since the weather in Iceland can be cold and unpredictable, we recommend wearing warm, layered clothing. Please bring:
  • Waterproof jacket and pants
  • Thermal layers
  • Warm gloves, hat, and scarf
  • Good waterproof boots (essential for comfort)
We provide safety equipment, such as helmets, if necessary.
Yes, dog sledding with Husky Iceland is very safe. Our sled dogs are highly trained and well-behaved. We also provide a comprehensive safety briefing and have experienced guides with you every step of the way. We ensure that all safety measures are in place for a safe and enjoyable adventure.
Yes, part of the experience at Husky Iceland includes meeting and interacting with our dogs before and after the sledding tour. Our huskies are friendly and enjoy the attention, so feel free to ask about them and learn more about their training and personalities.
Yes, we offer tours year-round. While winter months (from November to April) are best for snow-covered landscapes, we also offer tours during the summer months, where you can enjoy the unique Icelandic scenery, including the midnight sun, while carting with our huskies.
We do not provide transportation to and from the farm. However, we are located just a short drive from popular destinations in Iceland, and we can help with directions. You can also arrange transport through local providers.
Booking is easy! You can book online on our website or contact us directly through email or phone. We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak seasons, to secure your preferred time.
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your tour, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour will be subject to a cancellation fee.
Yes! We encourage you to capture the memories of your dog sledding experience. Our guides will be happy to take a few photos of you with the huskies, but feel free to bring your own camera or phone to capture the breathtaking scenery and the fun moments.
